Dewey Weber The Legend (Special Edition)

We introduced “Special Edition” surfboard in January 1999 to celebrate Dewey’s extraordinary contribution to modern surfboard design. Dewey, working with Harold Walker, discovered that by using a 2” balsa as the center stringer in a foam blank, you could alter the weight distribution of the foam just enough to cause the foam surfboard to react in a turn more like a balsa board. Plain and simple; it’s more stable, trims tighter, and turns better. The Legend celebrates Dewey’s initial Performer outline, which was conceived in 1965.
