Haydenshapes Plunder (FF)

The Plunder is a fuller plan-shape surfboard designed to bring versatility and fun to small waves, without forgetting about that important performance spark. It’s easy to paddle and effortlessly generates speed which encourages you to ride this board with a relaxed sense of style and enigmatic flow.
The surface area in the outline up front allows the board to trim with surprising speed in the weakest of conditions, while the soft diamond tail paired with the kick in the rail-line rocker toward the back, let’s the Plunder respond and turn when a good section lines up.
The flat rocker produces speed in all areas of the wave, and the rolled vee in the entry feels smooth when trimming and driving down-the-line, while the double vee through the back provides a fast and sensitive feel on the tail-end.
The fin setup is unique, with versatility in mind. As a single fin, pushed to the back of the box, it delivers a free-flowing feel with nice of pivot off the tail. The 2 + 1 setup, with the single fin pushed to the front of the box, provides a little more speed and directional control similar to a traditional thruster. Finally, as a quad (HS1 Large Side + HS Quad Rear) the board flies down-the-line and across fatter sections while providing the most responsive feel and release possible.
The Plunder is an entertaining board that handles those days where surface area and speed are crucial for maximizing fun. It’s a board that will keep up with your moods, depending on the waves and how you’re feeling, and it has a tendency to reap rich rewards in dismal conditions.

Designed and patented by Haydenshapes founder Hayden Cox, FutureFlex is an affluent mix of modern custom designed materials and modern design innovation for high performance surfing. The construction combines a stringer-less, high-density custom shaped EPS core laminated with biaxial fiberglass, epoxy resin and a parabolic carbon fiber frame. The carbon fiber frame within the laminate is the key to the performance vitality of the overall product. Designed to maximize speed and drive while minimizing twist, FutureFlex essentially stores and releases energy as the surfer transitions through a turn. Tom Carroll, who was the very first person, after Hayden, to test drive the first ever FutureFlex, describes the tech as “the Ferrari of surfboards” for it’s fast-twitch nature and lively response. The FutureFlex construction creates a fast, dynamic and highly responsive surfboard that’s been design engineered for performance surfing ranging from the intermediate to advanced level.
