Norden River Rat (blue/grey)

An increasing number of surfers are discovering the real potential of ‘river surfing’, and more and more spots are discovered around the globe. To meet your growing demand for fresh water surfing, norden has joined forces with their river surf team to design the new River Rat, the perfect board for these particular types of waves. The Rat features a flat rocker line with a bit of lift in the nose, a single concave bottom and soft rail with a higher apex point, that allows you ride faster, do harder turns and have more control then ever before. The new softboard edition is also the perfect solution for any artificial standing wave.

Our Softboard construction is unique. EPS cores with wood stringers, 6-ounce fiberglass, reinforced foot placement areas, full EVA deck, slick bottom, and soft fins are all common design features for school boards. However, at norden we are always looking to go the extra mile to improve performance and user friendliness. With this in mind, our Softboards are additionally equipped with rails that are completely foiled and shaped, just like on any normal surfboard. The EVA nose- and tail-blocks are not glued onto the outside, as is common for ordinary softboards boards, instead they are laminated into the construction and will never come off. An aditional hard rubber band is glewed onto the outside of nose and tail to avoid any chipping of the EVA in this erea.
