Lycras und Surf Shirts

Lycras, oft auch Rashguards genannt, werden in erster Linie als Sonnenschutz beim Surfen ohne Neoprenanzug genutzt. Die meisten Lycras verfügen über einen Lichtschutzfaktor von 50+. Lycras sind aus sehr dünnem Stoff und wärmen nicht, um bei Surf in warmen Regionen keine Überhitzungen zu erzeugen. Ansonsten bietet es natürlich auch Schutz vor „Rash“ und kann zu diesem Zweck auch unter dem Wetsuit getragen werden.

Rash Tees und Surf Shirts haben die gleiche Funktion wie Lycras, sind aber etwas weiter und lockerer wie ein T-Shirt geschnitten. Das bringt einen hohen Style Faktor mit sich - aber Achtung: Für rash-sensible Surfer sind enge Lycras besser, weil sie während der Surf Session weniger auf der Haut reiben.
