Das YOW Snappers 32'' Surfskate ist eins der beliebtesten Boards im Sortiment von YOW. Mit einer relativ kurzen Wheelbase ist es ziemlich agil. Das tiefe Concave und der üppige Nose- und Tailrocker sorgen für viel Halt - auch bei extremen Turns.
2024 kommt das Snappers mit schicker Julia Schimautz Signature Graphic.
Größeren Surfskater:innen oder solchen mit breiterem Surf-Stance würden wir ein Deck mit etwas längerer Wheelbase empfehlen.

YOW ist ein Akronym, welches für “Your Own Wave” steht. Im Vergleich zu einem herkömmlichen Skate- oder Longboard zeichnen sich die YOW Surfskates durch die Meraki Vorderachse mit zusätzlicher Drehachse und Federmechanismus aus. Durch diesen besonderen Lenkmechanismus bringen die YOW Boards authentisches Surf-Feeling auf die Straße. So kann man nicht nur mit besonders viel Vergnügen und Flair von A nach B cruisen, sondern gezieltes Surf Training betreiben.
Die Gewichtsverteilung und Technik zum Generieren von Geschwindigkeit und Fahren von Turns hat eine verblüffende Ähnlichkeit mit dem tatsächlichen Wellenreiten. Die beim Surfskaten verinnerlichten Bewegungsabläufe können dann beim Surfen angewendet werden. Gleichzeitig werden auch die Bein- und Coremuskulatur gestärkt - das sorgt für mehr Power beim Abreiten der Welle!
Die Decks der YOW Surfskates werden in Spanien aus FSC zertifiziertem, amerikanischen Ahorn hergestellt. Auch die Wheels und die Trucks sind Made in Spain. Das Griptape kommt vom Qualitätshersteller Jessup.

The Snapper 32.5” is one of our most popular boards within our riders and customers. Focused on a very technical riding, but also very forgiving for beginners given its width distribution. A surfskate created to take your performance to the next level. Featuring original artwork by Austrian graphic designer and print maker, Julia Schimautz.
An ode to imperfection: to preserve the feeling and aesthetics of risography prints we did not correct any of the print’s imperfections. As a result, the Snapper Julia Schimautz presents a series of little details like printing marks and incomplete prints that gives an authentic human touch.
The Snapper features a deep concave, wide tail and medium nose kick, attributes that keep your feet glued to the board at all times, allow you to transfer your weight seamlessly from rail to rail when carving and let you hit your favorite air tricks. Its short wheelbase (17″) allows you to feel the reaction of each movement and make tight turns on all types of surfaces. Mounted with the Meraki system (S5) and 66x51mm 78A Ura wheels which’s grip will help you turn tightly with total confidence while still keeping your speed.
All our decks are constructed with 7 plies of hard rock maple – responsibly sourced from areas under a forest conservation law in the Great lakes aiming to save, maintain and regenerate the biodiversity of nature – pressed with a water-base glue. All our trucks are casted in the Basque Country and follow the REACH regulation, ensuring the protection of human health and the environment. Our wheels are made in-house using a Super High Rebound formula with top-quality urethane.
