Lib Tech Lost Quiver Killer

Das neue Lost Surfboard Modell von Matt Biolos heißt nicht umsonst Quiver Killer. Ausgehend vom 2015 Erfolgsmodell Short Round wurde die Outline wieder etwas in Richtung traditionelles Shortboard verschoben. Heraus kommt ein etwas längeres, in Nose und Tail schmaleres Shortboard mit etwas mehr Rocker und einem breiten Round Thumb Tail, das in allen Wellenbediungungen hervorragend funktioniert. Durch die ausgeprägtere Rockerlinie und das abgerundete Tail lässt sich der Quiver Killer in größeren, kräftigeren Wellen deutlich einfacher und kontrollierter surfen als das Short Round. Da das Tail aber immer noch recht breit ist und das schnörkellose Planshape des Short Round beibehalten wurde, kann man auch in suboptimalen Wellenbedingungen mit dem Quiver Killer noch richtig Spass haben. Damit steht dieses Shape genau zwischen den eher klein-Wellen-orientierten Boards wie Short Round, V3, etc. und den "gunny" Shapes wie Rock up oder Roundup.
Wir empfehlen dieses Board allen Surfern, die mit nur einem Shortboard reisen möchten und dementsprechend ein Shape suchen, das einen möglichst breiten Einsatzbereich hat.

Die Lib Tech Technologie ist neben Firewire die stabilste High End Surfboard Bauweise in unserem Sortiment. Unzerstörbar sind die Surfboards von Lib Tech zwar nicht, aber ziemlich nah dran - damit sind Lib Tech Wellenreiter perfekt zum Reisen geeignet!. Gewicht und Flex Verhalten sind näher an einem klassischen PU/Polyester Board als an den leichten EPS/Epoxy Bauweisen von Lost & Co.

…Is an extension of our recently released ShortRound model. With myself and so many people enjoying the ShortRound, it quickly became clear that the short, relatively flat, and stubby board was an easy answer for fast fun in smaller surf, but with some limitations. While spending time in Bali this summer I began doing some tweaking to the design. At this the point, it would be unfair to continue calling it by the same name.

Beginning with the ShortRound, we added a couple inches of length, moderately added to the overall rocker, and pulled the nose outline in a bit. We then changed the tail to a forgiving, rounded “thumb" tail without narrowing it too much where the front fins are. The overall outline and rocker lines are a minimalistic and simplistic continuous curve. The surface area and volume are still generous enough to create speed and feel lively in anything but the smallest, or true “grovel” surf. The rounded tail, reduced nose area, and the added rocker, prevents too much rail being wetted at once in small surf, and allows control and ease of pocket and power surfing in proper waves. Free and easy in small-ish surf while still precise and forgiving in solid surf. Staying with the ammo theme, we swapped the stubby little speeding bullet for the new logo, an elongated, Spitzer influenced munition. The Quiver Killer... a shot straight through the heart.
